In this talk, the speaker will discuss the latest advances in agentic AI, including the move from the digital intern to the digital team, where software development activities are moving from an agile team working in squads to a digital factory. Agentic AI technologies such as Cursor, Kiro, and Cline are fundamentally reshaping how software is ideated, designed, developed, and tested. In this new approach, humans will be the digital supervisors, working to review the requirements and specifications and audit the development and testing agents. This will entail a shift from development and automation engineers back toward business analysts, generalists, quality assurance professionals, and risk management professionals. The speaker will include details on how this new multi-agent world will operate, using platforms such as MCP and A2A. Finally, the speaker will provide practical examples of how quality assurance (QA) and testing professionals can make sure these new AI systems are fit for purpose, safe, and have the necessary quality for release. The speaker will cover in depth the different agentic AI tools available and how they can be used to upskill for this new era in software delivery.
