TESTCON EUROPE CONFERENCE HISTORY

More than a decade of software testing and quality engineering

TestCon Europe is an annual international conference for software testing, quality assurance and quality engineering professionals. The conference began in Vilnius, Lithuania, in 2016 under the name TestCon Vilnius and later adopted TestCon Europe as its main name.

Ten consecutive annual editions were completed between 2016 and 2025. The event was held onsite in Vilnius during its early years, continued online in 2020 and 2021, and subsequently developed into an onsite and online conference. TestCon Europe 2026 is the 11th edition and is scheduled for October 20–23 in Vilnius and online.

Across its history, TestCon has brought together software testers, QA engineers, test automation specialists, developers, test managers, quality leaders and other technology professionals to exchange practical experience, explore emerging testing practices and strengthen the international software quality community.

The conference is organised by UAB DATA MINER.

How TestCon Europe has evolved

The conference’s programme has developed alongside the software testing profession.

The early editions concentrated on test management, testing techniques, automation, performance, Agile testing, usability and team leadership. Later programmes expanded into DevOps, continuous delivery, security, test data, release quality and organisational quality strategy.

The online editions introduced virtual cafés, remote workshops and wider international participation. Subsequent onsite and online editions combined that accessibility with the in-person workshops, cinema-style presentations and networking experiences associated with TestCon in Vilnius.

Recent programmes have increasingly addressed AI-assisted testing, testing AI and LLM systems, accessibility, compliance, observability, reliability and the business value of quality. Throughout these changes, the central purpose has remained consistent: helping practitioners exchange real experience and improve the quality of software systems.
